Chekhov is recognized as a kind of chronicler playwright from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. His works reflect the new airs that could be breathed in Russia at the time and the breaths of freedom expressed by his protagonists. In this version of Uncle Vania, directed by Lithuanian Oskars Koršunovas, the contradiction remains as a constant. Space and time have been blurred. A world that doesn't exist, but in which we can all find ourselves thanks to its actuality.
