Theater. Guillem de Castro, 73
Pere de Son Gall was a farmer from Llucmajor (Mallorca) with a privileged brain that designed and built a prototype helicopter when it was not yet invented at the beginning of the 20th century. He got into debt with a loan for its construction, he patented the invention and presented his plans to the Minister of War Juan de la Cierva, who is recognized as the inventor of the "autogyr". In Llucmajor, the idea spread that Juan de la Cierva plagiarized the plans of Pere de Son Gall. The home of the vertical vol tells us about Mallorca's curious participation in the aeronautical race, but it also connects us with current affairs by dealing with issues such as social inequalities and power.
