Lazarillo de Tormes. The sorcerer

MONDAY 17/1, 20H. 18/22€
OLYMPIA THEATER. Saint Vincent the Martyr, 44

It is known that the occasion makes the thief. In this anonymous work from our golden century, mischief and hunger are a constant. A fierce and scathing portrait of 16th century society that pays special attention to the colorful attitudes of the clergy; possible reason why the inquisition came to prohibit it. Under the direction of Fernando Fernán Gómez, Rafael Álvarez “El Brujo” gives life to this rogue. A performance that seems more like a symbiosis between the actor and the character. Lazarillo de Tormes develops in a world of imbalances where it shows us how ambition and power are the engines that move us most strongly.. LUCAS SÁEZ
