The invasion of the barbarians

FROM THURSDAY 23 ON SUNDAY 26/5
RUSSAFA ROOM. Dénia, 55

The Russafa Room recovers the peculiar look of Chema Cardena about Spanish history, concretely, about the Civil War, with parallel plots in which two women become protagonists of their own destinies. In 1939, A Franco lieutenant subjects an art conservator to intense interrogation about the mysterious disappearance of a work from the Prado Museum. Meanwhile, in 2009, Tensions between a conservative politician and a historical memory activist reach their peak. Through moving dialogues and intense confrontations, The invasion of the barbarians invites us to reflect on universal themes while exploring the darkest corners of our history. LUCAS SÁEZ
