TO THE MUTANT. John Verdeguer, 22
The recovery of traditional folklore is a recent trend, they are doing it Rodrigo Cuevas from Asturias, Sword Master from Murcia and Pep Gimeno "El Botifarra" here in Valencia. Well, transferred to the dance, is what the Valencian woman proposes Inka Romani in this one Fandango which was presented last year as part of the Dansa Valencia festival. The fandango d'Aiora is a dance for couples related to the Valencian and Aragonese jotes, which disappeared from the repertoire of popular dances for not complying with the aesthetic and ideological canons of the falangist Sección Femenina. Inka Romaní takes it down to the street and brings it to the present by deconstructing it and passing it through the sieve of dance and urban music. AU
