Rafael Alvarez “El Brujo” escribió Esquilo, nacimiento y muerte de la tragedia para la pasada edición del International Festival of Classic Theater of Mérida true to his style, reformulando lo clásico para hacerlo accesible y divertido al gran público. Predecesor de Sófocles y Eurípides, el dramaturgo Esquilo es considerado el primer gran representante de la tragedia griega, y como tal, no podía librarse de las garras del juglar de Lucena, that in esta especie de conferencia teatralizada nos habla sobre el espíritu antiguo de la tragedia que representa Esquilo. The sorcerer, con su inmensa cultura, hurga en la tragedia buscando que el público ría desde el principio hasta el final porque, aunque se declara trágico, es muy consciente de que vive de la comedia.
