Eat me: Well

The machine. Stop Jofré, 7

After the success obtained in the Atrium hall in Barcelona, Mireia Izquierdo arrives at La Máquina with this one performance which speaks harshly and directly about the sickening influence that the canon of beauty has on our society. Eat me: Well it is a piece that shows the suffering and frustration of aspiring to be someone else, to show off another aspect to fit into that mold of perfection that becomes especially oppressive for women. Stop hiding your belly in the photos you post on Instagram to get away from the #fat label and learn to accept the pathetic and imperfect, human, that we all have in Mireia Izquierdo's hand. S.M.
