The National Dance Company (CND) comes to show us his renewal of the classic contemporary dance repertoire. Carmen, by Georges Bizet, and a work with a strong and marked patriotic essence about a free woman who makes her decisions even if they are not accepted by the sexist society. The Swedish choreographer Johan Inger wanted to move the piece away from the classical paradigm, decontextualizing the approach first, which is now born from the gaze of a child who does not appear, nor in the original obra of Mérimée, nor in that of Bizet i, secondly, cleaning the scenery and costumes from the roots of the original story. Some reminiscence remains, But, so subtle, that the plot could be unfolding anywhere. COVADONGA V.B.
