Flare It is and is not a football comic. It starts with the story of a legendary red-haired player who played for Racing de Avellaneda in the first half of the 20th century., when football had not yet engaged the capitalist machinery that today has crushed it to the bone. as sport, not as a business. Jorge González uses his grandfather, the illustrious Flare (the Argentines and the nicknames…), to remember the romanticism that surrounded football at the beginning of the century and reflect on the vocation, about the pressure that children feel to fulfill their parents' wishes, about how inheritance is transmitted, without much logic, from parents to children and about how the “if you want”, you can” of the coaches Motivational motivations only generate unnecessary frustration.. Combining painting techniques and styles, with poetic aura, The author takes a tour of four generations of González in which we sense how the behavior of parents, your fears and your passions, ends up influencing the children's decisions.
