Color is synonymous with party and celebration in Brazilian carnivals, but in Listen, beautiful Marcia It is a powerful counterpoint to the drama. Flat and with expressionist touches, the purple, the gold (yellow) and green draw a dramatic story crossed by crime, poverty and marginality in Rio de Janeiro. Marcia is a nurse who lives in a favela with her boyfriend and a foul-mouthed daughter who is getting into a very deep hole from which it will be difficult to get out.. Márcia sees it coming and will do anything to save her daughter whatever future she has left..
