XI Humans Fest

humansfest.com

New address and, therefore, new project for Humans Fest, this contest that wants to be a space for debate on the situation of Human Rights in the world. Among this year's novelties we find the incorporation of works of fiction within the official competition sections, traditionally dedicated to documentary. In the Official Feature Film Section we find up to seven pieces, among whose titles we will see Woman by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Anastasia Mikova, contemporary Chile The mountain range of dreams by Patricio Guzmán, System crasher by Nora Fingscheidt, Marighella by Brazilian Wagner Moura, about the figure of the writer, politician and guerrilla Carlos Marighella, Aga’s house de Lendita Zeqiraj, o Made in Blangladesh by Rubaiyat Hossain, portrait of the custom of forced marriages and the textile industry in India. Besides, In the Short Film Section we will see works such as None by Salvador Calvo, that addresses the case of gangs in Honduras and El Salvador, exiled by Leonor Zúniga, about the abuses of the president of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega on his stepdaughter, o #Chiledespierta, about the uprisings that occurred in the Latin American country. Among other news, HumanFest includes the Human VLC section with short films directed by directors from our community, as well as a sample of films related to the programs Women of the world, that chooses films made by women; Future(s), dedicated to young people in the educational field; o Humans films zero, with self-produced parts. Among the parallel activities we find round tables such as those organized by CIMA, Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, Volunteer Map or Call against racism and xenophobia, about the presence of machismo in society. Or by the Human Rights Forum, which proposes a debate on corruption and which will be attended by the well-known activist Hervé Falciani. Finally, we have two exhibitions: footprints in the soul, retrospective of the work of photographer Ana Yturralde, y Women of Cluj by Loyola Pérez de Villegas on migration in Romania. This year the Pau i Justícia award will go to the comedian Pepe Viyuela. G.LEON
