Good Wife's Manual

Martin Provost · France · 2020 · Script: Martin Provost and Séverine Werba · Performers: Juliette Binoche, Yolande Moreau, Noémie Lvovsky…

Martin Provost's cinema may not offer great formal surprises. Tapes like Violette o Seraphine, they may not be among the most avant-garde cinema, but they offer well-told stories with characters that reach the viewer. In Good Wife's Manual we meet another female protagonist, Paulette Van Der Beck, who directs, with her husband, a club for good wives. We are in 1968. After the death of her husband, Paulette must rethink what to do with her life. In a changing world, you will have to question your beliefs. G.LEON
