DESCRIPTION:La Sala Municipal d’Exposicions acull ALTRES\, an exhibition that recovers a "singular" episode in the recent history of Valencian art. Rescue the others 75 anys de pintura valenciana\, a counter-exhibition organized in 1976 by a group of artists grouped in the Collective of Painters of the Valencian Country as a critical response to the exhibition 75 anys de pintura valenciana\, celebrada un any abans\, in 1975\, in the same room of the City Hall. \nPrenent aquell esdeveniment com a cas d’estudi\, l’exposició reuneix obres\, documents and trajectories that allow us to observe some of the tensions that marked that moment. Entre elles\, cinc pintures històriques realitzades pel Col·lectiu de Pintors del País Valencià per a la contraexposició i ara recuperades que dialoguen amb tres obres de Sorolla\, Pinazo i Fillol\, belonging to the official sample of 1975\, establint una confrontació que travessa qüestions de representació\, cultural legitimacy and collective organization. \nLa mostra comença amb una sala on es contextualitza el que estava passant en aquell moment\, what the most representative artists of Valencia and the most current ones were creating. L’exposició compta amb obres de Juana Francés\, pioneer of the Spanish avant-garde; Javier Calvo\, representat per Rectángulos verdes; Jordi Teixidor\, amb Dos triángulos con azul; Hernández Mompó\, Artur Heras\, Rosa Torres\, Antoni Miró\, Anzo\, Arcadi Blasco o Juan Genovés\, among other creators who contributed decisively to the Valencian artistic renewal of the decades of 1960 i 1970. In another room they face the exhibition 75 years of Valencian painting and the works of the Collective of Painters of the Valencian Country.  També hi ha un espai dedicat a la documentació i contextualització en relació amb la premsa i a la importància que pren en la societat esta exposició que va durar només 5 dies. Finalment es pot veure un testimoni viu on alguns dels artistes i galeristes protagonistes de l’esdeveniment i que encara ens acompanyen han relatat el testimoni juntament amb professionals de l’art i de la cultura com Pablo González Tornel\, Marta López Ricarte\, Lydia Frasquet\, José Martí Martínez and Ramón Esteve among others. \nEn definitiva\, ALTRES reunix obres d’alguns dels artistes valencians “més destacats” del segle XX. Entre elles es pot contemplar-se Historia natural del siglo XX de Josep Renau\, Preneu i mengeu de Rafael Armengol\, Conde Duque i La familia de Carlos IV de Equipo Crónica\, així com Reflejos de Eusebio Sempere\, one of the fundamental figures of Spanish geometric abstraction.
