The performer Xelo Giner presents a program as a tribute to the composer György Kurtàg on the occasion of his 100 birthday. The connection established between the two in their two meetings (Budapest\, 2016 i 2019) it allows him to approach the spiritual universe that nourishes his musical thinking. El compositor proposa a la intèrpret adaptar les seues composicions “Signs\, Games and Messages” (1997-2001) in version for saxophone. El repertori escollit està compost per petites peces compostes per György Kurtàg i les estrenes absolutes d’Inés Bádalo\, Carlos David Perales\, Joan Gómez and Stefano Scarani.

DESCRIPTION:The Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia (Mubav) hapresentado este martes la exposición Antonio Palomino y la noche barroca\, the first that is dedicated to the work and artistic production of the baroque painter and treatise writer Acisclo Antonio Palomino de Castro y Velasco (1655-1726) con motivo del tercer centenario de su muerte\, carried out in collaboration with the National Library of Spain. Es la primera exposición monográfica dedicada a su obra y lo hace en toda su complejidad\, pues en ella se combinan pinturas\, dibujos y estampas\, producción literaria y teoría pictórica\, with a total of sixty-five pieces on display from twenty museums and national institutions. Estructurada en cuatro secciones\, a través de ellas el público podrá explorar lavinculación de Palomino con la Monarquía de España\, su concepción de la pintura como arte teológico y sus reflexiones figurativas sobre el misterio de la Inmaculada Concepción\, la ingente producción de pintura mural\, en particular la que hizo en València\, su dedicación a las fiestas públicas\, y la fortuna de su tratado sobre la pintura.

DESCRIPTION:The Rubens exhibition. The Bloom of a Genius explores the formative years of Peter Paul Rubens for the first time (1577-1640)\, master of Flemish baroque and universal figure of art. La genialidad de uno de los grandes artistas del Barroco y de la historia de la pintura no apareció de forma repentina\, sino que se fraguó gradualmente nutriéndose de todo aquello que en su entorno le fue de utilidad bajo el influjo del arte clásico y los grandes maestros italianos. La exposición traza el desarrollo artístico de Rubens desde su aprendizaje en los talleres de los artistas Tobias Verhaecht\, Adam van Noort y Otto van Veen hasta su admisión como maestro en el Gremio de San Lucas de Amberes en 1598 y su posterior trabajo para la corte. Esta\, por tanto\, no es una exposición solo de Rubens y su obra\, sino de todo el ambiente que rodeó al pintor y del que este se sirvió para conformar la figura universal que llegaría a ser. \nLa exposición examina cómo Rubens llegó a encarnar una visión artística al servicio de ideales políticos\, religiosos y culturales\, que comienza durante su estancia italiana y continúa en el contexto de la Tregua de los Doce Años (1609-1621). Su genio artístico alcanzó su plena madurez durante este momento\, estableciendo un modelo que influiría profundamente en el curso de la pintura europea durante décadas. Por primera vez\, los visitantes podrán conocer el entorno cultural y artístico de Amberes que Rubens frecuentó durante las últimas décadas del siglo XVI. La exposición reúne obras asociadas a algunas de las principales personalidades artísticas de la ciudad\, como Maerten de Vos\, Willem Key\, Adriaen Thomasz. Key\, Crispijn van den Broeck y Pieter Pourbus II.  También ofrece por primera vez la rara oportunidad de ver obras de Adam van Noort en una institución pública española y el mayor grupo de pinturas de Otto van Veen reunido en un contexto expositivo\, yendo más allá de los libros de emblemas por los que es principalmente conocido. \nLa exposición incluye varios descubrimientos notables y préstamos excepcionales. Entre los más destacados se encuentran una de las pinturas de la serie de ‘La Creación’ de Pietro Facchetti que Rubens debió restaurar tras los daños durante su traslado desde Mantua a la corte de Felipe III en Valladolid. En este sentido\, se incluye también un boceto al óleo para el altar mayor de la Chiesa Nuova de Roma\, una obra prácticamente desconocida para el público español\, y la posible identificación\, dentro de un fragmento conservado\, de parte de la composición perdida de ‘La continencia de Escipión’ de Rubens

This new cycle of the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia offers seven significant examples where men or women embody this exemplary model of integrating mythological origin and constant renewal. His piece is born from the observation of how the balance of territories breaks under the pressure of global consumption.. DESCRIPTION:Temps Moderns proposa una revisió crítica de la col·lecció de pintura espanyola contemporània del Museu de Belles Arts de València\, focused on the period between the decades of 1940 i 1970. Este arc cronològic\, clau per a comprendre la modernització artística a l’Espanya que eixia de la Guerra Civil\, has traditionally been relegated in museum discourses as it sits between classical art and the latest trends of the late 20th century. The exhibition is organized around the acquisitions made by the State from 1968\, baix la direcció de Felipe Garín\, which show the desire of the Fine Arts Museum of Valencia to build a story about Valencian artists after the Civil War. A este nucli s’han sumat en els últims anys els noms de Francisco Sebastián\, Juana Francés o Aurora Valero\, providing a more comprehensive view of postwar creation. \nL’exposició s’estructura en tres nuclis: New figure; Postwar abstraction; and Landscape and still life. En la figuració s’observa una evolució des de plantejaments expressionistes cap a propostes de gran càrrega crítica\, especialment a partir dels anys seixanta\, amb col·lectius com Estampa Popular o l’Equip Crònica\, that incorporated visual strategies linked to Pop Art. Paral·lelament\, l’abstracció va ser progressivament assumida i promoguda com a emblema de modernitat\, generant propostes informalistes\, geometric and optical as those represented by Eusebio Sempere or José María Yturralde. El recorregut es completa amb el paisatge i la pintura d’objectes\, understood as spaces for identity and social reflection. Mitjançant la desconstrucció formal i l’ús expressiu del color\, the Valencian artists offered a critical look at their territory immersed in economic and social transformations.
