La presentación ha contado con la participación del presidente de la Fundación Bancaja\, Rafael Alcón\, y la comisaria de la muestra\, the doctor in Art History Alicia Vallina. La exposición ofrece un recorrido monográfico por la obra del artista conquense en el que se aprecia su evolución desde la figuración inicial al terreno de la abstracción\, with a later production characterized by extreme simplification. The exhibition brings together 42 piezas\, dated between 1955 y 2004\, en las que están representadas diferentes formas de expresión plástica utilizadas a lo largo de su carrera como la pintura\, la escultura\, graphic work or collage.  \nLa obra de Gustavo Torner\, un artista formado inicialmente como ingeniero forestal\, muestra una mirada analítica y reflexiva sobre la naturaleza\, matter and space. Fue uno de los miembros más destacados del llamado “Grupo de Cuenca”\, alongside artists such as Fernando Zóbel and Gerardo Rueda.  The tour of the room is structured in four sections that bring together different aesthetic and conceptual treatments by Torner.: geometry as mystical order; the dialogue between matter and emptiness; creative transversality; and the poetics of silence. El discurso expositivo permite apreciar desde sus planteamientos matéricos más primitivos hasta composiciones conceptuales en las que el orden\, la percepción\, el color\, structures and space take on an essential role. DESCRIPTION:The Bancaja and ABANCA Foundation presents the exhibition Commitment to art. De Miró a Barceló\, que reúne en Valencia una selección de los fondos de arte contemporáneo de ambas instituciones\, offering a retrospective look at the evolution of art during the 20th and 21st centuries. La muestra\, comisariada por Fernando Castro Flórez\, proposes a dialogue between the collections of ABANCA and the Bancaja Foundation in a journey that ranges from the historical avant-garde to the plurality of forms of contemporary painting with works dated between 1913 y 2023. La exposición se enmarca en la colaboración entre las dos instituciones\, which led to this project being shown at the Afundación headquarters in A Coruña in October 2025 and which is now presented at the headquarters of the Bancaja Foundation in Valencia with a renewed set of selected works. The exhibition tour is made up of 86 obras\, 48 from the ABANCA Collection and 38 from the funds of the Bancaja Foundation. La presentación ha contado con la participación del presidente de la Fundación Bancaja\, Rafael Alcon; la comisaria\, Marisa Giménez Soler; y el artista Calo Carratalá. \nLa muestra reúne una selección de 37 obras de gran y pequeño formato\, created between 2013 y 2026 y pertenecientes a tres de las series principales de Carratalá\, which are shown together for the first time in Valencia and with pieces made expressly for this exhibition.  \nLas colecciones presentadas recorren las montañas nevadas de Noruega\, reflected with a very short color palette and impregnated by a melancholy and forceful and clean beauty; el entorno del Amazonas en Brasil y Perú con selvas negras\, pintadas en lápiz sobre papel\, componiendo rasgos concisos que recorren la hondura de vegetaciones\, malezas\, reflejos\, waters and skies; los paisajes africanos de Tanzania y Senegal\, caracterizados por tonos verdes intensos\, contornos\, gaps and crevices; y baobabs\, árboles ligados a las culturas y tradiciones locales africanas\, que Calo Carratalá plasma con la técnica de la sanguina y que encarnan la fuerza de la colectividad y su valor como sustento de generaciones ancestrales. \nEl recorrido expositivo revela el gesto libre\, rápido y conciso del artista\, componiendo rasgos abocetados\, rayados\, accurate and correct. En un ejercicio de síntesis\, su pintura eleva la pulsión estética del paisaje\, generando una íntima aleación de aire\, color and time. \nEn los cuadros de Calo Carratalá está presente la pintura de los paisajistas holandeses del siglo XVII\, la poética de los románticos ingleses del XIX como William Turner o John Constable\, o del alemán Caspar David Friedrich\, and the drive of French impressionism and expressionism. En la producción del artista valenciano confluye esa tradición de descubrimiento paisajístico con una visión contemporánea desde la perspectiva ética y ecológica\, marked by the preservation of the environment and the protection of the environment.

DESCRIPTION:The Bancaja Foundation presented the exhibition Tàpies this morning at its headquarters in Valencia. Last decade. 2002-2012\, a monographic exhibition of one of the most prominent artists of the 20th century and considered one of the greatest exponents of informalism at an international level. La exposición se centra en la producción tardía de Antoni Tàpies\, from 2002 until his death in 2012 to the 88 años\, with a set of especially representative works that condense his essence as an artist during a less known period within a long artistic career of six decades. El recorrido expositivo revela cómo las ideas y formas que dieron forma a su singular y reconocida personalidad artística siguieron presentes en el trabajo realizado desde la madurez de su octava década de vida con una expresión pictórica que se vuelve más libre\, direct and refined.
