Conocido por sus particulares Artnoons\, viñetas en las que satiriza el mundo del arte “su trabajo para el Centre del Carme nos introduce en un lenguaje más performativo\, transformando la sala en un dispositivo escénico donde a través del juego reflexionar sobre el conocimiento humano y sobre las pseudociencias”\, explained the director of the Center del Carme.. \nTeatro Magnético es una exposición que toma como punto de partida el fenómeno histórico del magnetismo animal —la teoría propuesta en el siglo XVIII por Franz Anton Mesmer— para explorar una pregunta profundamente contemporánea: ¿por qué seguimos siendo atraídos por sistemas que prometen explicar el mundo de manera total\, simple and convincing? El mesmerismo entendía que dentro de los seres vivos había una energía magnética que podía manipularse con fines curativos y se creó toda una serie de rituales que han inspirado la literatura de terror\, el cine o incluso la música\, since these rituals also had a musical part. DESCRIPTION:The Center of the Carme Culture Contemporary (CCCC) presents the exhibition 'Brief history of a passion. Colección Avelino Marín’\, composed of more than a hundred works from one of the most important collections in Spain. The selection for the Center del Carme brings together the work of 70 artists. Incluye figuras internacionales como Andy Warhol\, David Hockney\, Tony Oursler\, Paula Rego\, Robert Mapplethorpe\, Araki\, Pat Andrea o Nazario; nombres destacados del ámbito nacional como Antonio López\, Oukalele\, Ester Ferrer or Guillermo Pérez Villalta; y una importante presencia de autores valencianos como Equipo Crónica\, Eusebio Sempere\, Miquel Navarro or Rosa Torres. Asimismo\, incorpora una amplia representación de artistas contemporáneos vinculados a Alicante y Murcia\, entre ellos Antonio González\, Rosalía Banet\, Nico Munuera\, José Luis Cremades\, Alberto Feijoo or Sergio Belinchón. \nEn 1975\, Avelino Marín with just 16 years he acquired the piece that marks the beginning of the collection: dos porcelanas vienesas del siglo XIX que muestran a dos mujeres vestidas de época\, one of them in a male suit. The first work of contemporary art that he acquired and that appears in the exhibition is the canvas 'Parabola' (1977) by Equipo Crónica and which was part of their last exhibition as a group. Tras varias décadas coleccionando\, Avelino Marín y Luis Leao decidieron construir una casa para albergar y mostrar buena parte de su colección\, a project by architect Javier Peña specially conceived as a house for two collectors. Los cuatro espacios\, desde su sentido de entrada hasta la salida\, obey a simple game of dualities that usually occurs in a house: público-privado\, diurno-nocturno\, trabajo-ocio\, actividad-descanso.\n\nEl título de la exposición Breve historia de una pasión hace referencia al carácter de los coleccionistas con un criterio que se aleja de una intención mercantilista guiados por su pasión por el arte y la admiración hacia los artistas.

SUMMARY:Verse expuest_. Rocío Gárriga
DESCRIPTION:La artista valenciana Rocío Garriga nos acerca la historia de los zoológicos bombardeados durante la II Guerra Mundial. A partir de este hecho histórico\, la artista presenta una reflexión sobre la vulnerabilidad de los cuerpos de animales y personas frente a cualquier tipo de violencia: la que se infringe en las guerras\, la sufrida por catástrofes ambientales o la exposición de las personas al juicio de los demás. Se trata del tercer capítulo de una investigación que viene realizando Rocío Garriga desde hace varios años y que comenzó con la muestra ‘La ley del espejo’ en 2018 sobre el zoo de Varsovia\, más tarde en 2023 se exhibió ‘La doble imagen’ acerca de la destrucción de zoo de Londres (ambas expuestas en la Galería Freijo de Madrid) y continua ahora en el Centre del Carme con esta muestra centrada en los bombardeos sobre el zoo de Hamburgo.  A través de documentos históricos y obras contemporáneas\, esta última propuesta aborda la vulnerabilidad\, la violencia y la exposición a la mirada ajena.  La exposición incluye fotografías\, documentos y objetos originales que no solo contextualizan sino que dialogan y se entrelazan con las nueve esculturas e instalaciones realizadas por Rocío Garriga exprofeso para la muestra. Las distintas propuestas contemporáneas juegan con una doble mirada: según desde el ángulo desde el que se mire el espectador puede apreciar la imagen de una bandada de pájaros o el vuelo de los bombarderos durante la guerra\, como es el caso de la pieza ‘Negro sobre blanco’ (2024-2026)\, realizado en cristal de bórax esmaltado y terciopelo tejido.

DESCRIPTION:The Center of the Carme Culture Contemporary (CCCC) Presents the exhibition 34 Ilustres escultores x 34 ilustrados en la que ilustradores contemporáneos retratan y rinden homenaje con sus obras a las figuras clave de la escultura valenciana\, from the end of the 19th century to the present. A través de la mirada de ilustradores contemporáneos\, que reinterpretan a los escultores a partir de su sensibilidad y códigos gráficos personales\, la muestra revisita a creadores que participaron activamente en la evolución del lenguaje escultórico\, manteniendo un equilibrio entre la tradición del oficio y la apertura a nuevas formas de entender el espacio\, la materia y la forma. \nDesde Mariano Benlliure hasta Enric Mestre o Joan Cardells\, el recorrido expositivo refleja la tensión propia del siglo XX entre la pervivencia de modelos académicos —centrados en la figuración\, la imaginería religiosa y el monumento público— y la incorporación progresiva de lenguajes modernos que transformaron la noción de volumen y su relación con el entorno. Los artistas reunidos ofrecieron respuestas diversas ante la modernidad: desde la continuidad de las tradiciones clásicas y mediterráneas hasta la exploración de la abstracción\, la síntesis formal y la dimensión estructural de la escultura. \nRespecto a la nómina de ilustradores escogidos\, la segunda edición de ‘34 ilustres x 34 ilustrados’ amplía el ámbito de trabajo de los creadores y visibiliza esta disciplina artística en toda su complejidad y creatividad\, con artistas procedentes no sólo del mundo editorial o del cómic sino también del territorio de la música\, el tatuaje o la moda. Al igual que en su primera exposición\, todos nacidos en la Comunitat Valenciana o valencianos de adopción. Así\, se presenta el trabajo de artistas reconocidos internacionalmente en el ámbito del cómic como Cristina Durán (National Comic Award) que retrata a Ángeles Marco; Jordi Bayarri quien representa a José Gonzalvo Vives; el castellonense Sergio Meliá (Marvel y DC Cómics) quien hace lo propio con Mariano Benlliure; firmas destacadas como las de Amélia Navarro quien retrata a  Francisco Marco-Díaz\, César Sebastián a Elisa Piqueras o las creaciones de Carla Fuentes encargada de representar a Helena Sorolla y María Herreros a Emilia Torrente Sancho. Sus creaciones se pueden ver junto a otros ilustradores consagrados en otros ámbitos como el de la música\, como es el caso de Leviathan (responsable de las portadas de Rolling Stones) quien retrata a Ignacio Pinazo o Mik Baro (16 tons) a José Viciano Martí. \nAunque también vinculado al ámbito musical Don Rogelio J. encargado del retrato de Vicente Navarro Romero\, procede del mundo del tatuaje y como ejemplo del ámbito de la moda se incorpora la ilustradora Rosa Deltoro con su ilustración de Ricardo Boix. También se pueden ver en la muestra las obras de Adrián Bago\, que ilustra a Ramón de Soto; Soledad Bardají a Amadeo Gabino; Sergio Bleda a Vicente Bañuls; Canya a Eusebio Sempere; Fedde Carroza a José María Gorris; Nacho Casanova a Tonico Ballester o Julia Cejas a Salvador Octavio Vicent.
