Manuel Rey Fueyo. S.XXI PAINTING

F. CHIRIVELLA SORIANO. Valeriola, 13

The Foundation Chirivella Soriano presents the work of an adopted Valencian artist who is part of the gallery's roster A dog from Castelló. Manuel Rey Fueyo was one of the first artists to develop abstract painting in the Valencian Community when the world artistic at the time he was overturned in figuration and pop art. He followed another path and this is precisely what the title wants to evoke, S.XXI PAINTING, that the painting is not finished and will never be finished. To the Palau of Valeriola you will find large format black paintings stained with “smokes” of warm colors and lines and geometric shapes that, on the second floor, they look like entrances of light into a dark room. Enigmatic pictures that create an atmosphere, they suggest more than they say. S.M.
