This small sample is a piece of the gear that makes the IVAM's exhibition speech work coherently. Because it links an exhibition already opened by the museum, to from Fernand Light, with one to come, Jean's Dubuffet. The members of the Team Chronicle they would laugh in the face of those who today speak with disdain of cultural appropriation because they unhiddenly took characters and elements from other artists to decontextualize them and reinterpret them in their works. They did it with The builders of Light, reinterpreted in a thousand ways in the exhibition (also about sculptures of girls), and they repeated it with a character of Dubuffet that appears in the work This one does not escape. Like this, this sample had a double task: teach the ideological and artistic links between Equipo Chronicle i Light —practically all the works exhibited here by the Valencians have something from the artist French— and show that we don't know everything about the Team Chronicle. And indeed, we didn't know about the wonderful propaganda posters the group made for the Communist Party, tan moderns, so current, which seems incredible that have fifty years. S.M.
