DESCRIPTION:The next 19 y 20 de septiembre\, el huerto botánico El Bartolí\, sede de Todolí Citrus Fundació en Palmera\, y los jardines del Hotel Montsant de Xàtiva volverán a acoger una nueva edición de Cine de Vanguardia en el Jardín\, an exhibition dedicated to experimental and avant-garde cinema. Promoted by Todolí Citrus Fundació from 2022\, This project proposes a dialogue between cinematographic creation and the unique citrus landscape created by art curator Vicente Todolí. A lo largo de estos cinco años\, el ciclo ha ido articulando un recorrido por distintas formas de aproximarse a la naturaleza desde el cine\, dedicating each edition to a specific topic: el jardín\, la botánica\, el agua y\, en esta ocasión\, the earth understood as a sensitive territory. \nBajo el título El campo sensible\, This fifth edition proposes a mythical and nostalgic reading of nature through films and characters that advocate ways of life deeply integrated into the countryside and rural life.. Obras inspiradas por la filosofía de poetas como Virgilio\, whose Georgics constitute an ode to the land and agriculture; o en la mirada botánica de Emily Dickinson\, who wrote countless verses on botany; las obras reunidas en el programa retratos de artistas o jardineros que viven en comunión con la naturaleza\, understanding it as something “sacred and valuable”; or psychedelic abstractions and explosions of color that reveal these filmmakers' fascination with the natural world. \n\n\n\n\nEl programa reúne obras de autores clásicos del cine experimental como Bruce Baillie\, Marjorie Keller o Bruce Elder\, alongside contemporary filmmakers such as Jodie Mack and Joel Schlemowitz. También podrá verse la película surgida de la colaboración entre los artistas Peter Nadin\, Aimée Toledano y Natsuko Uchino\, a work that understands the cultivation of the land as an artistic practice and a form of knowledge. \nConsolidado como una de las citas culturales más singulares de la rentrée valenciana\, Cine de Vanguardia en el Jardín ofrece cada septiembre la oportunidad de descubrir un cine de extraordinario valor artístico y poético\, usually far from commercial circuits and closer to the field of visual arts. La experiencia de la proyección al aire libre\, en diálogo con el paisaje de El Bartolí y los jardines del Hotel Montsant\, turns each session into an invitation to look at cinema from another perspective.
