DESCRIPTION:What would happen if a museum allowed you to look underground? Si\, en tirar d’una cantonada\, emergira un món ocult\, complex i vibrant\, usually relegated to invisibility? Radix proposa esta possibilitat a través d’una fabulació ecològica que desplaça la mirada cap a les profunditats de la història\, the culture and memories of the underground. \nEl projecte de Tania Candiani imagina un bioma fictici habitat per entitats que oscil·len entre allò científic i allò especulatiu\, between the observable and the imagined. Es presenta com una instal·lació immersiva concebuda com un ecosistema híbrid\, on conviuen plantes vives\, escultures de vidre bufat\, organismes suspesos\, a rhizotro (device that allows you to observe the growth of the roots)\, audiovisual projections in cross dialogue and an octophonic sound composition that surrounds the space. Cadascun d’estos elements funciona com un fragment d’un sistema major\, interdependent\, where the separation between the living and the inert is erased. \nLa sala expositiva és transformada arquitectònicament per adoptar una geometria suau i radial\, inspired by the cross-section of a plant structure found in a book from the Botanical Garden of Valencia. Esta configuració espacial no actua únicament com a contenidor\, sinó com un cos en si mateix\, com una anatomia expandida que suggerix la presència d’una planta imaginada\, una forma de vida possible que podria pertànyer —o haver pertangut— al territori valencià\, però l’origen del qual roman incert\, suspended between botanical memory and science fiction. \nEn este sentit\, Radix no busca representar la naturalesa tal com la coneixem\, sinó especular sobre les seues possibles mutacions\, micromons i futurs\, convidant a reconsiderar les fronteres entre espècies\, disciplines i estats de la matèria\, així com a reflexionar sobre les forces invisibles que sostenen la vida\, fostering an awareness of hidden networks both above and below ground.
