DESCRIPTION:A collective exhibition where Diego Kohli participates (Madrid\, 1991)\, Javier Palacios (Jerez\, 1995)\, Lucia Cassiraga (Valencia\, 1999)\, Rafael Chacon (Sevilla\, 1965). Secreto Maravilla is a small essay that addresses the possibility of how contemporary art presents variations that could be key to understanding a change in the paradigm.: mientras la parte más clásica oscila entre la figuración académica y la abstracción “zombi”\, y la parte más radical —diríamos— continua estirando los valores materiales y la hibridación extrema de géneros\, es posible observar tranquilamente como en los últimos cuatro o cinco años se ha ido superando el imaginario post-Internet plagado de recursos de videojuego\, errores digitales\, pantallas\, extensión de filtros\, efecto airbrush…\, to give way to a different way of looking at the world that attends to other mental landscapes. \nDe hecho\, es fácil rastrear en el panorama cómo muchos artistas —también los cuatro convocados aquí— trabajan sobre la necesidad de revelar el mundo y asomarse a él desde el mirador de lo onírico\, que no de lo realista\, de lo expresivo\, que no expresionista\, de lo surreal incluso —cuando ya se ha cumplido un siglo del Primer manifiesto surrealista—\, esgrimiendo imágenes inquietantes que\, con una técnica minuciosa\, nos abocan a lo extraño\, al sueño recurrente\, quizás a lo alucinado del detalle\, always from a sensitive figuration that handles all types of references at a formal or content level and that in its own way defends a visionary sense that faces or corrects the overwhelming reality of the media.
