DESCRIPTION:La festa de les Falles\, especialment la de la ciutat de València\, mostra hui una inquietant incapacitat per afrontar els reptes que l’assetgen\, despite its declaration as Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2016. Lluny d’impulsar una transformació real\, this recognition has coincided with an intensification of its festive domestication: normativització\, burocratització\, commodification and depoliticization policy that have deactivated popular transgressive energy and made it predictable and controllable. Esta deriva no és casual\, sinó el resultat d’una estructura conservadora i immobilista\, en gran part hereva del franquisme i de les forces immobilistes que deriven d’aquell\, which blocks any profound change and assimilates or neutralizes attempts at renewal. El resultat és un règim festiu caduc\, sostingut per relats hegemònics\, internal collaborationisms and subjectivities colonized by neoliberalism and the cultural extractivism that is inherent to it.
