SUMMARY:WHO HAS ACCESS TO CULTURE TODAY?
DESCRIPTION:Free entry with reservation and limited capacity. Aquesta sessió se centra a analitzar les condicions materials i simbòliques que travessen la sostenibilitat de les pràctiques culturals contemporànies\, posant el focus en les formes de precarietat\, self-exploitation and structural dependence that affect cultural agents at various points. A partir d’una lectura situada\, s’abordaran les tensions entre vocació\, professionalització i condicions laborals\, atenent com es configuren els marcs de legitimitat\, funding and recognition within the cultural ecosystem. La sessió combina dades\, experiències situades i debat obert\, with the aim of problematizing the normalized narratives about cultural work and opening a space for critical reflection on the conditions of possibility that exist. \nLa trobada s’inscriu en el projecte Cultura als Campus–Cultura Jove\, del Servei de Cultura Universitària\, with the support of the Generalitat Valenciana. La sessió s’organitza de manera progressiva amb la finalitat de propiciar una aproximació crítica i fonamentada a les condicions que travessen l’accés\, training and participation in the cultural field. En primer lloc\, data and examples will be presented to contextualize inequalities in access to culture and artistic training (20 min). A continuació\, a debate will be opened about the mechanisms of exclusion linked to language and symbolic legitimation in the artistic system (40 min). Seguidament\, s’abordaran experiències relacionades amb els costos de la formació\, unpaid work and the relationship between university and cultural institutions (40 min). Després\, a space for dialogue with the public will be opened (40 min). The session will conclude with a synthesis of the main ideas discussed and a final reflection on the conditions that structure access to contemporary culture (20 min).
