DESCRIPTION:Aquest volum és una selecció d’escrits de Josep Iborra que parlen\, directament o indirecta\, of music. No són pròpiament textos sobre música\, but reflections on music in relation to culture and the author's personal experience. Josep Iborra was one of the most outstanding Valencian intellectuals of the 20th century. As a literary critic he is already a classic and earned a respect and admiration during his lifetime that continues to this day among the people of the guild. I\, tanmateix\, no són prou coneguts el seu interès i la seua afició per la música\, which occupied a very important place in his career. To the point of writing a bunch of intellectual reflection papers on one of the arts par excellence that he most admired and for which he felt an incorruptible inclination. \nAlguns dels escrits de Josep Iborra que s’apleguen en aquest llibre ja s’havien publicat de manera dispersa en altres editorials. Altres papers inclosos\, però\, són inèdits i completen la visió personalíssima\, analytical and insightful of a writer who was also a great music lover. A més a més\, aquesta selecció ve precedida d’un assaig d’un dels seus fills\, Joaquim Iborra\, un testimoni de primera mà i únic en què retrata el seu pare\, in all his human dimension and in each of his facets as a scholar and as a person: les obsessions i els costums\, els interessos i les creences que professava\, his loyalty to the culture and history of his country. Tot plegat configura un volum deliciós en què la raó de la música és el correlat de la raó de l’ésser humà lligat al territori\, fidel al seu país\, united forever more to its language and literature.
