DESCRIPTION:Valencia will host next Saturday 28 de marzo el ciclo Plazas y Performances bajo el título La mirada al frente y las raíces en el suelo\, a day dedicated to reflecting on the emergence of contemporary dance in Spain in the eighties and nineties and its projection in the present. Esta cita incluirá el estreno de la pieza inédita “QUE SI PUÒ FARE\, QUE SI PUÒ DIRE”\, created expressly for the occasion by Mónica Valenciano and María Muñoz. The activity is part of the programming of the Celebration of the 50 años de España en libertad\, an initiative promoted by the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory. The day will take place in two emblematic spaces in the city: el Centre Cultural La Nau de la Universitat de València y el espacio independiente El Consulado\, combinando debate profesional\, artistic creation and collective celebration.  \nLa actividad comenzará en el Centre Cultural La Nau con un encuentro sobre la danza contemporánea que se celebrará en dos sesiones: of 12:00 a 14:00 hours and 16:00 a 18:30 horas\, with an intermediate break for food between 14:30 and the 15:30 hours. El conversatorio reunirá a creadoras y profesionales de distintas generaciones para reflexionar sobre el nacimiento de la danza contemporánea en España\, the role of València as the epicenter since the creation of the Dansa València Festival in 1988\, y los retos actuales de un sector marcado por la precariedad\, but also for new forms of creation and organization. \nA las 19:15 horas\, The Cloister of La Nau will host the central moment of the day: el estreno de “QUE SI PUÒ FARE\, QUE SI PUÒ DIRE”\, creación e interpretación de Mónica Valenciano y María Muñoz\, two fundamental figures of contemporary dance in our country. The piece will feature the participation of the Faraig Choir (eight mixed voices) bajo la dirección de Christian Roca\, y propone un diálogo entre memoria\, body and present from an ethical and artistic perspective. \nLa jornada concluirá a partir de las 21:15 horas en El Consulado\, where an exhibition of dance videos will be held - with materials provided by the participants- and a festive meeting open to attendees.
