DESCRIPTION:He 17 de maig\, La Filmoteca acull la presentació d’un estudi crític publicat per Edicions Contrabando sobre Beltenebros (1991)\, una de les millors pel·lícules dirigides per Pilar Miró\, which will be projected below. La sessió comptarà amb la presència de l’autor del llibre\, el crític i historiador del cinema Antonio Santamarina\, que estarà acompanyat per Gerardo León\, crític de cinema\, i José Antonio Hurtado\, critic and historian. Beltenebros conjuga el cinema de gènere (film noir) amb el film polític\, ambientat en les zones fosques del règim franquista\, i una història d’amor carregada de fort erotisme i protagonitzada per dos estreles internacionals\, Terence Stamp i Patsy Kensit. Partint de la novel·la original d’Antonio Muñoz Molina\, Santamarina analitza amb gran detall els elements que donen forma al conjunt de la pel·lícula\, entre ells els recursos propis del film noir: una atmosfera inquietant i quasi fantasmal\, personatges marcats pel desencantament i la frustració davant d’una realitat complexa i asfixiant\, the use of chiaroscuro in decadent lighting and settings.
