DESCRIPTION:this year ago 750 anys de la mort de Jaume I\, the monarch who created the kingdom of Valencia and endowed it with its own laws and institutions. Per tal de commemorar l’efemèride\, the Delegation of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans in Valencia proposes conferences that will address various facets of the character: its historical dimension (la societat andalusina abans i després de la conquesta\, la conquesta i la colonització cristiano-feudal\, and the king's wives)\, the memory (el record i la imatge del monarca en la literatura\, culture and art) and commemoration (the festivals of the Standard and the 9 d’Octubre\, as well as the future commemoration of the Mallorcan and Valencian conquests). The days include a concert by the Chapel of Ministers.
