DESCRIPTION:He 27 de octubre se celebra el Día Mundial del Patrimonio Audiovisual\, big festival of film libraries and archives. Buscan también conectar la idea de patrimonio con el presente y reivindicar la relevancia histórica\, social y política que tiene la preservación de la memoria audiovisual de los pueblos\, especially those beaten by those who insist on erasing them from maps and history. En ese contexto\, on thursday 29 estrenamos en València la película palestina A Fidai Film\, applauded as it passes through different festivals. Kamal Aljafari uses Israel's looting of Palestinian films in 1982 as a premise to make visible materials hidden in Israeli archives and propose a counternarrative about a continuous history of appropriation. A Fidai Film establece un interesante diálogo con Los ojos de Ariana\, que se proyectará el mismo día seguida de un coloquio programado en la colaboración con la Academia Valenciana del Audiovisual en el que participarán el director\, Ricardo Macián\, y Mirwais Rekab\, uno de los protagonistas de la película.\nLa programación se completa con otro estreno\, en este caso del ensayo fílmico Herbaria\, dirigido por el argentino Leandro Listorti\, cineasta y colega archivero del Museo de Cine Pablo Ducrós Hicken de Buenos Aires\, where he directs the conservation and restoration technical coordination area. En esta hermosa película\, que logra ser lírica y didáctica a la vez\, Listorti relates the work of film and botanical preservation.
