SUMMARY:Summer in the Tower 2026: Les Nuits Rouges
DESCRIPTION:The summer cultural proposal will be held again this year at the Hort de les Taules due to the final stretch of the rehabilitation works of the emblematic enclave of the Torre del Virrei. Of the 6 from June to 29 d’agost\, el festival oferirà una cuidada programació de música en directe a l’aire lliure marcada per la qualitat artística\, proximity and sound diversity. \nLa programació arrancarà el dissabte 6 amb La Banda Sabinera i el seu homenatge festiu i participatiu al repertori de Joaquín Sabina. Una setmana després\, serà el torn de Walking Myself Home\, a proposal of contemporary jazz and funk led by the Elian composer and pianist Paula Berga. \nEl festival continuarà dissabte 20 amb Palestina al cor\, un espectacle del Cor de l’Eliana\, i un dia després\, l’Escola Coral oferirà el concert intergeneracional La música en el temps. This first month will close on Saturday 27 amb Timelapse\, an experience that condenses universal classical pieces as the colophon of the XXI edition of the Festival 5 Centuries of Music. \nDesprés de l’obligada pausa de les Festes Majors\, la programació es reprendrà el segon dissabte d’agost amb el prestigiós pianista cubà Iván “Melón” Lewis Trío\, one of the most solid and original projects on the current jazz scene. Saturday 15 arribarà el torn del projecte francòfon Les Nuits Rouges\, que traslladarà el públic a les nits parisenques amb temes com La Mer o La Vie en Rose. I les trobades de jazz es tancaran amb la profunditat expressiva de la veu d’Ángela Cervantes\, la sensibilitat i mestria del guitarrista Israel Sandoval i la personalitat inconfusible del saxòfon de Perico Sambeat. \nLa clausura arribarà dissabte 29 amb la XXV edició de Pinceladas Flamencas\, que commemorarà el quart de segle del festival amb un homenatge especial a Enrique Morente\, one of the most influential figures of contemporary flamenco.
