DESCRIPTION:Bombas Gens Center d'Arts Digitals joins the International Day of Museums with a proposal that proposes an active visit to its heritage environment. the days 16\, 17 i 18 de maig\, el centre convida a participar en “El mapa secret de Bombas Gens”\, a free activity aimed at the general public and with a special focus on families that proposes to discover in an autonomous and participatory way the historical and architectural heritage of the complex. \nDurant els tres dies\, els visitants podran accedir lliurement als espais patrimonials i recórrer-los a través d’un itinerari autoguiat\, recolzat en un nou plànol específic i continguts accessibles mitjançant una guia QR. L’experiència planteja un recorregut dinàmic\, àgil i comprensible pels seus enclavaments singulars\, com ara el refugi de la Guerra Civil\, l’antiga fàbrica de bombes hidràuliques o el celler del segle XV\, combinant història\, dissemination and play in a format that invites you to explore space as if it were a real expedition. \nEl recorregut finalitza amb un repte que permetrà als participants posar a prova els seus coneixements i optar a diferents premis\, reinforcing the fun and educational nature of the proposal. A més\, el jardí mediterrani de Bombas Gens també s’obrirà com a espai de descans durant la visita\, with option of consumption. \nUn recorregut per quasi un segle d’història \n“El mapa secret de Bombas Gens” permet endinsar-se en la història d’aquest entorn patrimonial singular\, considered one of the jewels of Valencian modernism. The building was built in 1930 com a fàbrica de bombes hidràuliques impulsada per Carlos Gens i Rafael Dalli\, the dissenyada for the architect Cayetano Borso of Carminati. \nDesprés de dècades d’activitat industrial\, the closing of the factory in 1991 va donar pas a un període d’abandó i deteriorament\, aggravated by a fire in 2014. Tres anys després\, the Fundació Per Amor a l'Art acquired and rehabilitated the building from the hand of the well-known architect Ramón Esteve. In 2024\, i gràcies a l’aliança amb Layers of Reality\, naix Bombas Gens Centre d’Arts Digitals\, the first stable center in Valencia dedicated to new technologies applied to creation and immersive digital arts. \nAquest conjunt patrimonial únic reuneix en un mateix espai diferents capes d’història: el celler medieval del segle XV\, linked to the old farmhouse of Comeig; la fàbrica industrial\, with its iconic art deco facade and the old smelting furnaces; el refugi antiaeri de la Guerra Civil\, memory loaded; i el jardí modernista\, que integra art\, nature and architecture around Cristina Iglesias' permanent installation. \nEls museus\, espais de trobada \nLa proposta de Bombas Gens s’alinea amb el lema del Dia Internacional dels Museus 2026\, impulsat per l’ICOM\, “Museus unint un món dividit”\, que subratlla el paper dels museus com a espais de trobada\, diàleg i inclusió\, capable of connecting communities through shared knowledge and experience. \nDe manera complementària\, durant aquests dies també es podrà visitar l’exposició immersiva La llegenda del Titanic. L’exposició definitiva a Bombas Gens\, that after overcoming the 50.000 visitors has extended its sessions for the coming months. També estarà disponible la visita comentada “Bombas Gens: Memòria habitada”\, with daily sessions at 12.00 h. and at 17.00 h. \nLa participació en “El mapa secret de Bombas Gens” és gratuïta\, with prior in-person registration at the same center.
