DESCRIPTION:The Center of the Carme Culture Contemporary (CCCC) presents the exhibition 'Brief history of a passion. Colección Avelino Marín’\, composed of more than a hundred works from one of the most important collections in Spain. The selection for the Center del Carme brings together the work of 70 artists. Incluye figuras internacionales como Andy Warhol\, David Hockney\, Tony Oursler\, Paula Rego\, Robert Mapplethorpe\, Araki\, Pat Andrea o Nazario; nombres destacados del ámbito nacional como Antonio López\, Oukalele\, Ester Ferrer or Guillermo Pérez Villalta; y una importante presencia de autores valencianos como Equipo Crónica\, Eusebio Sempere\, Miquel Navarro or Rosa Torres. Asimismo\, incorpora una amplia representación de artistas contemporáneos vinculados a Alicante y Murcia\, entre ellos Antonio González\, Rosalía Banet\, Nico Munuera\, José Luis Cremades\, Alberto Feijoo or Sergio Belinchón. \nEn 1975\, Avelino Marín with just 16 years he acquired the piece that marks the beginning of the collection: dos porcelanas vienesas del siglo XIX que muestran a dos mujeres vestidas de época\, one of them in a male suit. The first work of contemporary art that he acquired and that appears in the exhibition is the canvas 'Parabola' (1977) by Equipo Crónica and which was part of their last exhibition as a group. Tras varias décadas coleccionando\, Avelino Marín y Luis Leao decidieron construir una casa para albergar y mostrar buena parte de su colección\, a project by architect Javier Peña specially conceived as a house for two collectors. Los cuatro espacios\, desde su sentido de entrada hasta la salida\, obey a simple game of dualities that usually occurs in a house: público-privado\, diurno-nocturno\, trabajo-ocio\, actividad-descanso.\n\nEl título de la exposición Breve historia de una pasión hace referencia al carácter de los coleccionistas con un criterio que se aleja de una intención mercantilista guiados por su pasión por el arte y la admiración hacia los artistas.
