SUMMARY:The aura of a modern saga: Ignacio\, José i Marisa Pinazo
DESCRIPTION:València és\, in between 1870 i 1920\, one of the most prolific and influential artistic centers of its time. Un elevat nombre de pintors naixen i es formen a la ciutat\, dels quals hui només es recorda una parcel·la reduïda\, els denominats grans mestres de l’escola valenciana\, despite the fact that most of them resided outside their hometown. \nD’este amplíssim catàleg de pintors de mitjan segles XIX i XX a penes coneixem les bio-grafies d’uns pocs\, and one of the puzzles is knowing how they managed to survive in such a competitive and saturated environment of professionals. The option for a large majority was to move to other cities and countries, mainly in Europe and America. Tal és el cas dels Pinazo\, que constitueixen un exemple que sens dubte destaca entre les diverses famílies artístiques de la ciutat\, com els Capuz\, els López\, els Benlliure\, els Sorolla o els Manaut Viglietti\, among others. \nEn aquest fenomen de transmissió de l’ofici hi ha un component pràctic\, of continuity or inheritance of a tradition - and also of vocation. La convivència i familiaritat amb la creació artística generen una predisposició que afavoreix la continuïtat de l’ofici\, as exemplified by the case of the Pinazo clan that is now presented. The great master Ignacio Pinazo and Camarlench (1849-1916) tingué dos fills que es van dedicar dedicaren a l’art\, José i Ignacio Pinazo Martínez\, el primer pintor i el segon escultor\, although he also practiced painting and was a singer.
