DESCRIPTION:La Fundación Bancaja ha presentado la exposición La armonía secreta del pensamiento\, que recorre seis décadas de la trayectoria de Gustavo Torner\, a leading artist of Spanish contemporary art who contributed decisively to the consolidation of abstraction in Spain. La presentación ha contado con la participación del presidente de la Fundación Bancaja\, Rafael Alcón\, y la comisaria de la muestra\, the doctor in Art History Alicia Vallina. La exposición ofrece un recorrido monográfico por la obra del artista conquense en el que se aprecia su evolución desde la figuración inicial al terreno de la abstracción\, with a later production characterized by extreme simplification. The exhibition brings together 42 piezas\, dated between 1955 y 2004\, en las que están representadas diferentes formas de expresión plástica utilizadas a lo largo de su carrera como la pintura\, la escultura\, graphic work or collage.  \nLa obra de Gustavo Torner\, un artista formado inicialmente como ingeniero forestal\, muestra una mirada analítica y reflexiva sobre la naturaleza\, matter and space. Fue uno de los miembros más destacados del llamado “Grupo de Cuenca”\, alongside artists such as Fernando Zóbel and Gerardo Rueda.  The tour of the room is structured in four sections that bring together different aesthetic and conceptual treatments by Torner.: geometry as mystical order; the dialogue between matter and emptiness; creative transversality; and the poetics of silence. El discurso expositivo permite apreciar desde sus planteamientos matéricos más primitivos hasta composiciones conceptuales en las que el orden\, la percepción\, el color\, structures and space take on an essential role. Su obra se construye desde la observación atenta del mundo natural sin pretender reproducirlo\, desvelando sus estructuras internas\, its rhythms and its invisible tensions. \nLa exposición puede visitarse en la sede de la Fundación Bancaja en Valencia (Plaza Tetuán\, 23) of the 19 from June to 20 September 2026.
