The machine. Father Jofré, 7
La Máquina premieres a piece at the end of January that will remain on the bill for four weeks, inspired by the play Minetti by the Austrian author Thomas Bernhard and in the character of Blanche Dubois d’A Streetcar Named Desire de Tennessee Williams. The protagonist will be played by the great lady of the Venezuelan stage, Diana Volpe, who puts herself in the shoes of an actress who cannot find her place on stage because she is a migrant woman, not having achieved media success and being seventy years old. Aporophobia and gender discrimination, age or origin within an apparently liberal field such as the performing arts appear in this drama with absurd touches that link the world of theater with that of Les Fallas.
