The pictorial work of Balthasar Klossowski de Rola, nicknamed Balthus, It is one of the most unclassifiable of the avant-garde development of the 20th century.. His way of understanding art, marked by scandal, has aroused rejection and veneration in equal parts. On the occasion of a retrospective exhibition of his work that took place during the first months of the 2019, The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum has commissioned a graphic novel about the French painter from the already established author Tyto Alba. Balthus and the Count of Rola presents a very original approach in comic form to the life and work of this ambiguous and fascinating artist. ALEX MOSQUITA
