THE ANIMATED DONUT

THE FILMTECA. Pl. town hall, 17

On the occasion of the celebration of the day 8 of March, International Working Women's Day, The Filmoteca offers us this cycle dedicated to the presence of women in the world of animation. The program has two sections. The first of them is titled Within: my body, my home, a selection of short films in which nine directors and one director talk to us about women from their interiority. The body, as a house and as a symbol, vital transits, from childhood to adolescence, from youth to adulthood are some of the topics that will be addressed here. Nine works that, whether through humor or irony question power structures, couple relationships, romantic love, loneliness or the relationship with the domestic space. In Out: Social health y pmental politics eight other short films will deal with the female world from the outside, either as victims of political conflicts, immigration, the war, forced labor or social violence and discrimination.
